FOUR ELECTION FORUMS – FOUR CHANCES TO BE INFORMED

Be an informed voter this Spring!

SEOPCO is sponsoring candidate forums for the upcoming District 97 and 200 school board races, the village trustee and clerk contests and the District 97 referenda.

All forums will be held at Irving Elementary School Auditorium – 1125 S. Cuyler

District 200 (OPRF) School Board Candidates  Date: Thursday, March 2 Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm

District 97 (elementary and middle schools) School Board Candidates Date: Thursday, March 9 Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Village Trustee and Clerk Candidates Date: Wednesday, March 15 Time: 8:00 – 10:00 pm

District 97 Referenda Forum Date: Thursday, March 16 Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm

At the candidate forums, each contender will make an opening statement and respond to questions submitted in advance. Then we will move to the cafeteria, where you can have small group discussions with each candidate, and ask your own questions.

At the referenda forum, a District 97 representative will present, then we expect to hear from advocates on both sides, followed by your questions.  If you have suggestions for questions for the candidates at any of these events, please submit to seopco@gmail.com.

SEOPCO will hold an Open Public Forum on the District 200 Referendum on Tuesday October 25th  from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  The forum will be held at Washington Irving Elementary School, 1125 South Cuyler Avenue. Speakers will represent District 200, as well as the Yes and No positions, followed by a moderated question & answer session from the audience. We plan to broadcast live via Facebook live video.
